Police investigating the disappearance of missing Bronwyn Davies, are today, Friday, 9 January, releasing CCTV stills of potential witnesses seen in West Drayton, in a bid to trace them.

The stills show nine people walking along the same section of the canal towpath, within an hour of the last confirmed sighting at 10:28hrs on Thursday, 1 January of 60-year-old Mrs Davies.

Mrs Davies had been walking along the north towpath of the Grand Union Canal, alongside John Guest Ltd business premises after leaving her West Drayton home early on New Year's Day. She was reported as missing later that day by her daughter, Ciara, when she failed to return home.

Mrs Davies regularly walks the same route of the Grand Union Canal and around the Packet Boat Lane area and Marina with the family dog 'Beth', and is well known in the area to other dog walkers and joggers.

Concerns for her welfare are increasing as she is 'type 1' diabetic, and has no insulin with her, nor an inhaler which she uses regularly for Asthma.

Mrs Davies is described as white, 5ft tall, with grey hair - pinned up which makes it appear short. She is of a slim and frail build and has green eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black rain mac, cream/grey woolly hat, navy blue wellington boots with a distinctive white dog pattern, and was holding a black backpack and Tesco 'bag for life' carrier bag.

It is not believed that Mrs Davies has any money or a phone with her.

Detective Sergeant Andy Grant, said: ""We are appealing to the members of the public who are shown on the CCTV stills to come forward and speak to us, as they may hold valuable information which may assist us in our enquiries. With no further confirmed sightings of Mrs Davies since her disappearance, it is crucial that we piece together any witness accounts to enable us build a clearer picture of her next movements.

“It is possible that Mrs Davies may be in a disorientated state due to lack of essential medicine, food and warmth. She may be seeking shelter and warmth on public transport or other areas or shelters open to the public. I want everyone to remain extra aware and vigilant as Mrs Davies is particularly vulnerable due to having no access to her medication.""

Mrs Davies's daughter, Ciara, 31, said: ""Mum, please contact me or contact 999, just to let us know you are okay. We miss you so much. Please come home mum, we are worried sick about you. Everybody here in London, Dublin, Belfast and Italy are thinking of you. Please, if any member of the public has seen my mum in West Drayton or any of the surrounding areas, please contact the police. Mum has been missing since New Years Day, she has possibly walked to Stockley Park or towards Uxbridge via the Grand Union Canal. People around the canal would know my mum from walking our dog, 'Beth.'""

Anyone who has seen Mrs Davies or who knows of her whereabouts urged to call the Hillingdon Missing Persons Unit on 020 8246 1710 or 020 8246 1732; or call police on 101.
